Slow and Steady

After more than an hour between cutting, pinning, and sewing, I have one strap completed.

Very little of that time was actually spent sewing. Strap number 2 is underneath the completed one. Pinning has taken the bulk of the time. I should be able to get the other strap done today. I should also be able to attach the pockets to the sides of the purse. This will get me up to step 7 of 29.

There have been moments where I think Yoda may be right:

This project is teaching me a few things, like that purse straps aren’t fun, but I’m mostly enjoying the challenge and looking forward to a new purse.

I’m thankful the weather is cooling off to normal seasonal temperatures. This makes it much easier to get things done.

Well, I best get back at it.
