Infatuated

A needy smile charms me
like a wool blanket that
makes you warm and itchy.
I yearn to feel full.
Like the sunrise,
approaching the horizon.
Warm and wise
yet holding back hurtful truths.

He smiles, knowingly.
She waits, poised.
Their eyes meet flowingly.
A spark ignites the flame.
They dance in rings
a giddy dizziness takes over.
She wants to sing
as his embrace keeps her safe.
