I feel listless… so in need
of something to make me whole.
Straining to find a part
Anxious to have it now
Yearning to be free
I must wait patiently.
So helpless
Completeness beyond me
deep sad instead
Hate causes this
Especially the unjustified
Knowing why is better
easier to take.
Things change people
people change people
life changes people
people change self.
To be popular and cared for
To have great wealth
To be respected
These are what we are told to strive for.
The things that matter so much to us,
we deny them to others.
Maybe someday we wake to find,
in all our gains, great loss.
