The Bitter Truth

Although this comes grudgingly.
I realize all was not as others believed.
You could never please me.
I know that now.
I was in a fantasy.
where you were the lead.
There was nothing.
Why all the supporting characters?
A pathetic piece of flesh.
I know you don’t believe.
You choose to shut this out.
Others see what I do.
When things ended I didn’t understand.
Now I see the truth.
Glad to be rid of you.
