2025 – Week 17

I think I’ve purged my home of gluten containing items. Some of it went to friends and other stuff went to the nearby food bank. My mind is feeling less foggy every day. I’d really like the dizziness to go away. It doesn’t make me feel like doing anything. I’ve noticed it’s worse when looking at screens, so I’m reducing my screen time some.

I worked on my taxes on Monday evening and swore a lot. First, I didn’t see that I had to accept my import from CRA, so it wasn’t calculating anything. I couldn’t log into the account for my property taxes either, so that was fun /sarc. Frustrated, I decided to continue working on things on Tuesday. In the morning, I was able to get my password reset and pay the city.

Karate went well in the evening though I felt lightheaded at times. Whenever it happened, I focused on my breathing to try and get more oxygen moving around my body. After class, I felt great and had plenty of energy for groceries, which was good because I had to purge quite a bit from my house. I couldn’t go on Monday as I couldn’t tell which places were open due to Easter.

On Wednesday, I finally got back to tap. I was almost late because I thought it was in the business area near my condo rather than where it is. Both areas have similar buildings as they’re a bit industrial with technical type businesses. I made it and had so much fun. It was a bit easier with shoes that actually fit me. I also figured out that some of my dizziness has been due to my seasonal allergies.

Thursday was a relaxed night rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I had a yummy dinner of roasted root veggies with a bacon-wrapped beef medallion. Normally I’d have something like that with a red wine, but I’m not drinking for a bit to let my intestines heal. I am missing it though. Friday morning began with making a list of all the red wines I should try now that my favourite red is unavailable to me because it’s from California. Perhaps I’ll find better ones in my own country and in others that we have new trade agreements with.

It was off to TD Place on Saturday for the Ottawa Charge Pride game with some softball friends. What a game that was! Ashton Bell was the heroine of the night scoring her second goal in the nick of time to seal the deal for Ottawa. After, I got some gluten free Thai food from the pavilion.

It was time for the big boss fight at Sunday’s Pathfinder game. Well, I thought it was, but we went back towards town and had a horrifying encounter with werewolves. We forgot there were child werewolves running about. Luckily, we stopped killing them before it was too late, healed them up, and took them back towards town with us.

I got through more than fall in Stardew Valley. I married Penny and got the mines and the greenhouse fixed.

Goal Setting and Tracking
