Monday was pretty average. I got a lot done at work and relaxed in the evening. On Tuesday, I had my monthly with my massage therapist. It was good to catch up with her. She did a bit of work on my abdomen given all the craziness with my diet lately before loosening my shoulder up. It was a bit tight from the sanding. I got groceries on my way home. My finger was bruised by the weight of the one grocery bag, which wasn’t all that heavy. I was annoyed that I was bruising that easily, but it should hopefully resolve soon. I did a small bit on the reno before getting some boots.
I’m not sure people know this about me, but up until recently, I loathed shoe shopping. The reason? I never found my size, so I often settled for something a bit too big. But I’m finding my size these days and I’m finally enjoying footwear. Anyway, I really wanted Doc Martens, but I was sad about it because I didn’t think I could afford any. They often cost more than $200 before tax. I walked all of St. Laurent Mall and was going to settle for a cheaper option at a store I had already been to. When I got back there, I felt compelled to look over at this small rack of kids shoes. There were Doc Martens in my size for less than half the price of regular adult sizes and only $30 more than the other boots I was considering! Sometimes it’s good being small.
I didn’t go to karate that night. I felt like it was a bad idea given the easy bruising. I also felt like I needed to do some kitchen work and catch up on some laundry. It was a packed week and I needed the time.
On Wednesday, I went to an event that was basically a handful of mostly strangers chatting about queer things. The topics were chosen using AI, which I’m not a huge fan of, but it was useful to ice break. I knew the host and another attendee.
Choir went well on Thursday. I didn’t stay late because I had a long day ahead on Friday, which was an in-office boardroom day. My team was practically sequestered all day and it was a lot for someone who often works from home. Something I’ve been waiting for was announced, but it will be a little while yet before it happens.
Before I forget, May’s Music Oracle is Nina Simone:

Saturday was the evening of the softball draft party. We found out our teams and it was good to catch up with people. The hugs are something I always look forward to. There were three cool cars outside the bar and I have no idea about their make and model:

Sunday’s Pathfinder session brought me new hand wraps and a boost for them. Hopefully that will help with the final boss. We should be finishing up this campaign on the long weekend.
