2026 – Week 39

This week began with a doctor’s appointment. I do not have Rheumatoid Arthritis. That’s good news. I do definitely have Sjogren’s and there aren’t actually any current meds for it. There is one med in phase 3 of trials, so it’s coming, but could be a year or two yet. Otherwise, I’m getting a prescription to help with the dry eyes and mouth. I’ll be getting it later on as my school benefits haven’t fully kicked in and it’s not quite the dry season anyway. I hope it helps in winter with all the heating dryness that will be coming soon.

I felt quite disorganized, but managed to calm down by Monday evening. Remembering to take things one at a time is so important right now. I’m always a bit out of sorts after traveling.

I got a new story idea. I fleshed quite a bit out. It will be in novella form and that’s all I’m saying right now. I wanted to start writing the thing right away, but school. At least I am excited and my creative well is slowly refilling now that I’m not doing the office thing anymore.

On Tuesday, I forgot that choir was cancelled. At least I got out of the condo for a bit and had a walk. I also saw three bunnies and some tiny birds before heading back home to my homework. I made the tough decision to postpone joining choir because of the time and cost involved. I really can’t afford that much in the extracurricular department until I’m done my program and working again.

We’ve entered my favourite time of the year, autumn. With its cooler temperatures, reduced bugs and pollens, and a gradual change to cosier activities, what isn’t there to like?

The end of the week brought a bit of building chaos as parking spots were repainted and reassigned. I’m no longer near two people who never do snow removal and I’m closer to the door of the building. It’s a bit tight, so I’m lucky I have a small car. It will take some getting used to.

I’ve spent a lot of time this week catching up on school and around the condo. I missed martial arts due to this. I’m not caught up yet, but I’m a lot closer. For the school update, please see my Ko-Fi blog.

Catch you on the flip side,

Rae
