This week I switched over to the futon frame. I’m loving it. I need to adjust my mattress, but I’ll do that when school calms down. Probably on reading week later this month. That’s also when countertops are slated for, so things will hopefully improve for me after that.
I’ve been extra tired this week. Gotta keep on though.
Martial arts has taken a hit for the time being. I just can’t fit it in with school right now. At least, not the official classes. I’ll start practicing at home soon. It’s just until spring.
I was looking forward to my massage at week’s end. I needed to catch up with my massage therapist and I had so many tight spots from all the studying and physical stuff I did last week. I felt so much better after it. A massage, even one with painful trigger point therapy, is a great way to head into a long weekend.
I decided to make my Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday and just had yummy leftovers for the rest of the weekend. I made a turkey leg, which only cost $4. I had gluten free bread that I didn’t love, so I let it get stale for stuffing. It made tasty stuffing. Add potatoes and some cranberry pomegranate soda from Ocean Spray and I really enjoyed my meal. Also, one turkey leg didn’t take all day to cook. It was nice and juicy since it was dark meat. I think once my schedule is reasonable and my kitchen is done, I may actually enjoy cooking someday.

I largely split my weekend between some school work and videogames. I played some WoW Forever and Sun Haven. I’m mainly working on a gnome warlock in WoW. Since I have beta access, I will get to keep at least the names of the characters I’ve made. No one knows if there will be a wipe or not. I first played WoW when the first ever open beta occurred back in the early aughts. I was a gnome mage in those days. In Sun Haven, I’ve made it to Withergate. I had been further on a previous game, but I deleted it because I had briefly played with some other folks and had no access to something I was growing and couldn’t progress because of it. Some games shouldn’t be joined up to other people because of things like that where you can end up unable to complete quests.
Grey’s Anatomy is helping me get through anatomy class. I forgot so much from the early seasons! I remembered some key things like character deaths, but not how they came to be. And I think it got better for the viewers once the merge happened. That second season of interns was mediocre except for Lexi. Sometimes I wish I could watch a show again for the first time. Because the almost deaths were so much more intense when we didn’t know if the characters would live. When you know there are 20+ seasons, you can reasonably assume the main character is going to survive.
I haven’t gotten much writing done this week, but Can-Con is almost here. Next weekend is going to be so much fun! Also probably exhausting with all the school before it, but that’s OK. Some people that I see there, I only see at writing conventions, so it’s such a wonderful event to learn and connect with my peers.
But I have to get through the upcoming week first, which includes a big anatomy test. For more on how school went this week, check my Kofi post.
Catch you on the flip side,
Rae
